My Fall TBR

Hello all!! Happy September!

I am so excited for the cool weather, to start wearing jeans and boots and jackets and being all cozy! Not to mention all the awesome books that are coming out this Fall!! I saw Nadine Brandes do this fun Fall TBR video on her Youtube channel and thought it would be fun to do something similar on here. :b

The Brink of Darkness by Jeff Giles:

I loved book one of this duology!šŸ˜ It was a surprise read I picked up from Barnes and Nobles and I devoured it within a week and instantly bought book 2. And then... I sort of got into Sullivan Gray and E.C. Farrell's Supernatural Reform School. So right after I'm finished with that book, I will definitely be reading this one.

Tunnel of Bones by Victoria Schwab:

Oooh a spooky book for Fall!! I don't normally read spooky books or books with ghosts or anything of the sort but... I make an exception for Victoria Schwab's middle grade series cuz I mean... it's Victoria Schwab and I love her writing so much. The first book, City of Ghosts, was fantastic and I can't wait to follow Cassidy Blake and her ghostly friend Jake to Paris! This one actually just came out yesterday and I'd like to get it in hardcover so I have book 1 and 2 on the shelf side by side.

The Burning Shadow by Jennifer L. Armentrout:

Uph I can't wait for this book!!I loved Jennifer L. Armentrout's Lux series and I loved book one of this series just as much. Luc anyone? šŸ˜ He was the best in the Lux series and is the best in this series as well. I can't wait to see where Armentrout takes this spin off series and what will happen in the world of the Lux next!

The Queen of Nothing by Holly Black:

This one right here is one of my most anticipated reads of the Fall. I was so excited when Holly Black announced that she'll be releasing The Queen of Nothing early! We don't have to wait to January to find out what the heck is happening with Jude and Cardan! I can't wait to have this book on my shelf right next to The Cruel Prince and The Wicked King and to find out who ends up with the crown. And to finally see which of my theories about how and what happened at the end of The Wicked King is correct.

Legacy by Shannon Messenger:

If The Queen of Nothing is one of my most anticipated reads this is my most anticipated read of the Fall. This series is my favorite and I am not exaggerating. I absolutely love everything about Shannon Messenger's writing and the Keeper series is the series that has kept me inspired and made me fall in love with reading and writing every November when I read the next installment. I will cry many tears when this series is over. Even the thought of it ending makes me sad. šŸ˜ That ending though!! What a humongous cliffhanger! I must know what happens! I must know how Sophie feels about this major revelation at the end of Lodestar!

The Academy of Stolen Magic by Sullivan Gray and E.C. Farrell:

I'm right in the middle of book one, Supernatural Reform School and am loving it. All the romance! Sebastian... Levi... šŸ˜ I love the world Sullivan Gray and E.C. Farrell has created and I know this next book is going to be just as good.

The Shiver trilogy by Maggie Stiefvater:

Ever since I read The Raven Boys by Maggie earlier this year, I've wanted to give this trilogy another try. I tried reading it a few years ago and just couldn't get into it but it is back on my TBR list and I want to read this trilogy before the end of this year. I have a feeling later this Fall I'll be in the mood for some werewolf romance.

The next Renegade X book by Chelsea M. Campbell:

This one doesn't have a cover yet but I can't wait for it none the less. I love Chelsea Campbell's funny, quirky and awesome superhero series. Damien is the literal best and I love him so much as I've said a million times before on here and on Instagram haha

Oath of the Outcast by C. M. Banschbach:

Claire Banschbach is an Instagram writer friend of mine and I've read so much about this book. It sounds so good and I can't wait to read it later this Fall. Hopefully I'll be able to get to it sooner rather than later what with my giant TBR pile for the last four months of this year.

The Stolen Kingdom by Bethany Atazadech:

This one just came out and I've heard great things about this book too. Plus, I mean that cover. It is gorgeous! šŸ˜ From the blurb it also sounds like there will be some pretty swoonworthy romance as well which I am excited for haha

Anyways! That is my current Fall TBR. It may change, grow or shorten but at the moment I have high hopes that I will be able to read all of them before the end of Fall... Or at least into December. Like I said, I am counting down the days until I get my hands on Legacy but for now I think I have enough books to tide me over.

What about you? What are some of your most anticipated reads of the Fall??

P.S. If you're looking for yet another book to add to your Fall TBR Wayward comes out in just a few short weeks! You can check it out and pre-order it HERE and it will also be on Kindle Unlimited when it comes out. :)

March-May Wrap Up!

Happy Tuesday!  So I had a March/April blog post all written out and forgot to post it! So here's a March-May recap! How has the last three months gone for you? March ended up being a really good month. I turned 25 and had a really great birthday I got to hang out with friends, watch some new shows and am almost done with the Throne of Glass series. April and May have also been really good months for me. God's blessed me in so many amazing ways over the past three months.  I feel bad that this blog has fallen so to the wayside for me. I used to post every week and be so excited and now I just really struggle to keep this updated. I'm starting to think it might be time to let this blog post unless I somehow get renewed motivation/inspiration for it.  March-May Writing:  March was a very good writing month. I just reached 65K in Immortal Circus #3, and despite a few small hiccups, it's been flowing really well. I'm enjoying getting to draft a book after spending ...

Turning 25!

Happy Thursday!  At the end of February I was looking back at my wrap ups on my Instagram and on here and it almost made me start crying because of how far I've come. It made me stop and think about where I started my 20's versus where I am now. So much as changed and so much of it for the better. Just looking back at the pictures and wrap ups I've done over the past year, I feel like I'm thriving. I'm at a place I honestly didn't think I'd ever get to and maybe that was just me being dramatic or living in on and off depression for so many years, but it makes me tear up and so thankful to see how far I've come since 20.  At 20 I had a best friend I thought I would still be best friends with when I turned 25. I had him and two other friends at 20 and that was it. I don't even remember what church we were at five years ago, but it wasn't the church we're at now and I know I definitely was not thriving there. I felt so behind everyone else my a...

A Goodbye to The Archive Series

Happy Friday!  The final book of The Archive Series comes out next Tuesday. This has been almost three years in the making and I don't know what to say to properly say goodbye.  I started this series in December 2019 with Golden Touch. The idea had been sparked by me watching The Road to El Dorado and having a desire to write a treasure hunt story for most of December. Little did I know that the story of a girl finding a boy with a Midas touch up in the mountains to help her family with their money issues would turn into a five book series and be a huge part of my life for the next few years. I also had no idea that that series would get me through one of the hardest years - 2020. Honestly, God knew what 2020 would be like and He knew I was going to need a story and characters that would make me happy, give me joy and focus on during that very hard year. And for me, that was Amaya and Darren and this whole series.  I poured a lot of myself and my story into Amaya and Darr...
