Happy Friday everyone! Sorry I've been so AWOL this month... I think I've just been so busy and haven't had time to remain as active on here as I would like. I'm thinking of just switching to posting on only Wednesdays and if something comes up for Friday then I will. Classes have started, Wayward released in September and I'm revising book 2 and working on a new WIP. It's going to be a busy month so we'll see how active I am on here. Anyways, here's my monthly wrap up for August! August Writing: I got so much writing done this month! I finished editing Wayward and I implemented most of my beta reader's feedback (I'm still waiting on one more). Today, if Amazon will allow it, I want to order my proof copy to make sure all looks well. I can't wait to hold this book in my hands!! I also finished book 2 of St. Croix Falls. Hello everyone! Happy Sunday! Guess what?? Wayward is up for pre-order now!! This is really happening, this book is really going to be out next month and I can't wait to share it with everyone. I started this year with a totally different book I was working on and a totally different plan on publishing and yet here I am, self-publishing yet again. No matter how many times I go back to traditional publishing and wanting to query, I always end up back here. Not because it's easy or fast. I keep going back to self-publishing because I like having complete creative control over my work. I like setting deadlines for myself and I like the community that comes with self-publishing. Its a lot of work and a lot of research and a lot of faith, but it's so worth it. If you don't know much about Wayward here's a little about the book: Mia Avery is a city girl through and through. She loves the hustle and bustle of the city and is perfectly content with her life there....

Happy Wednesday everyone! Sorry for the lack of posts last week... I was feeling majorly uninspired and unmotivated. I've also been dealing with a lot of anxiety lately and that's made it hard to focus on things, along with editing Wayward like crazy and researching promotional stuff and all that. I'm determined for Wayward's launch to be a success. But anyways, since I'm at that phase of editing where you can't stand to read your book again and think it sounds horrible and is boring and awful, I thought I'd do a post on editing because why not? These aren't just for self-published authors. These can be for writers of all kinds and are just a few things I've picked up while editing Wayward. Print it out! I know some people don't like to print their manuscripts out cuz it uses up a lot of paper but it is so worth it. For a while I would go to Office Max or Staples and have them print it out but it ended up costing too much money. Since then,...

Another month is over! To be honest, I was kind of ready for July to be over during the first week of the month. I'm not sure why... I guess I'm just ready for the heat to die down a little and for August to come. With August comes one more month till September when the cool weather rolls around. For some reason this year, July seemed to crawl by for me. All the other months went by super fast but this one... it sort of felt like it went on forever to me haha July Writing: July was a great writing month! I am happy I had to July so I had time to work on Wayward. The cover was finished this month (which I am beyond excited about!) and I started working on book 2. I'm also contemplating making some changes in my future plans for Dragon Hearted... Honestly, I feel like I've hit a bit of a snag in writing the episodes. They just aren't flowing as well and I think that has something to do with the fact that I veered wildly off course from what I had originally star...

Happy Friday everyone! So yesterday I saw this booktuber do two whole videos on popular books she doesn't like and I thought it was really fun. I love unpopular opinions, even if I disagree with them haha. It did hurt my heart a little bit that she didn't like The Cruel Prince because I love that book and series so much but I could (kind of) see where she was coming from. Anyways! I thought it would be fun to try that on here since I literally have no books to review right now... July's been a super slow reading month for me. These are all my own personal opinions, I hope I don't offend anyone but if I do, I'm sorry haha (also slight spoiler alerts for some of these!
