Stroke of Midnight: A Retelling

Happy Friday everyone! So, last week I put the first two chapters of Stroke of Midnight on Wattpad and today I just uploaded the last three! I had a good time writing this little short story and I hope you enjoy reading it. :) Aidan was up at the crack of dawn and already had breakfast halfway finished by the time Sara came to help him finish. “You shouldn’t be up so early,” she chastised as she entered the kitchen and got to work finishing the food. Aidan shrugged, wiping his hands on his breeches. They had another stain on them and his boots needed to be mended again. “I don’t mind. You should be able to sleep.” Sara shook her head. “Go care for the horses. I’ll finish up the meal.” “Alright,” was all he said. Before he left though, he pecked her on the cheek affectionately which brought a smile to her lips. Aidan grinned back, and she wagged a finger at him. “You’re too good of a boy Aidan. One of these days your goodness is going to get you into trouble.” He shrugged o

Stroke of Midnight: Chapter Two

Hey guys! So Stroke of Midnight has five chapters and I'll be posting them every other day over the next week on Wattpad. Whenever I post them on Wattpad, I'll update the blog to let you know! I just posted chapter two this morning and it's in the POV of the kind and sweet Aidan, the main protagonist of this book. I hope you love him as much as I do and I hope you love his and Ella's story as much as I enjoyed writing it! Here's a little sneak peek. Click the link below to read the full story! Aidan finished setting the logs in a neat pile on the side of the cottage, brushing his hands together to get the last of the dust and wood flakes off his skin. Almost finished for the day it wasn't even sundown yet. He grinned as he tipped his head up to enjoy a moment of peace. Griffin and Malik would return any time now from their gallivanting around the village and his stepfather would be back before dinner, or at least that was what he said. Hagan was a business

Stroke of Midnight: Chapter One

Two posts in one day?? What is going on?? ;) I finished revisions on a short story I wrote a few weeks ago for a Wattpad contest. The contest is called #reversetheroles and so for the contest, I wrote a story reversing the roles of Cinderella and Prince Charming where the prince is a princess and Cinderella is a guy named Aidan. The contest ends October 28 so I just put chapter one up on Wattpad and I wanted to share it on here. It's in the POV of Ella (check back for chapter two which is in the POV of Aidan!). It's also only a second draft and, I mean, I like it and I think it turned out well, but there still may be a few rough edges to it. Anyways, I hope you enjoy! “Please, Ella, just listen to me,” her father sighed, hands outstretched palms up. Ella scowled and turned away. She knew she shouldn’t be so pouty, so childish, but she couldn’t help it, her father was asking the impossible of her. Okay, so maybe it wasn’t impossible, but it was pretty dang close. How cou

Nanowrimo 2018

Hey guys! So October's been a slow month for blog posts. :( It's just been so busy and I haven't even had enough time to do a lot of book writing. I hope for November I'll have more time to write on here more because I really do love writing blog posts and updating this place. So I knew Nanowrimo was coming in a month, but it hit me this week that it starts in two weeks!! Two weeks November begins and so does Nanowrimo and... I'm feeling sort of scattered and stuck with my writing. I mean, I want to have Project Hellion revised and ready to publish at the end of November. I'm in the middle of revising Sterling Silver 2.0 (that I will update on Wattpad once I'm finished) and then once I'm done with Sterling Silver, I have Blood Brother to work on... So, it's not that I don't have projects to work on. I have a lot of stuff I am and could revise, but for Nanowrimo I want to work on something fresh. I like working hard to get to 50 thousand words

Project Hellion Sneak Peek!

Hey guys! So I know I haven't been very active on here... It's been pretty busy, but I wanted to share the first chapter of Project Hellion! This book has been quite the wild ride. There have been so many ups and downs but I'm super proud of how its turned out. I hope you enjoy this sneak peek and look forward to when it comes out at the end of November!! :) Delphi came to a sudden stop, her breath hitching in her throat as she pressed her back against the closest wall. There he was: Drake, the man they’d been hunting down for weeks now. Their target unlocked the door of a warehouse and stepped inside, glancing over his shoulder as he did so. Delphi ducked back around the corner and touched her finger to the comm in her ear. “I’ve got eyes on Drake. East warehouse 115.” A cacophony of voices rang in her ears, all saying they were on their way and not to engage. Delphi made her ice skateboard disappear into the bottom of her feet as she peeked around the corner.

September Monthly Wrap-Up

Hey everyone! So I know its six days into October and my September wrap up is so late! This month is going to be a slow one for blog posts I think... There's just so much going on and I am feeling so busy and overwhelmed with a lot of stuff. But I am also looking forward to the weather finally cooling down and for lots of Fall days outside. September Writing: September wasn't as productive as August, but I still did get a lot of writing things done. I worked on Blood Brothers for a lot of the month and near the end of September I even found a writer friend on Twitter to look over Sterling Silver and give me feedback! So I plan to fix up Sterling Silver a bit more and then fix Blood Brothers because I'm sure there will be a few changes that transfer to that book. I might even have her check out Blood Brothers if she's willing. Project Hellion also became on the top of my to do list near the end of September. I had it sent out to an editor and I'm hoping to have i
